How to get rid of corrosion on alloys?

proper cleaner and a cloth for the black stuff. dont use a scrubbing brush or anything like that it will damage the paint and caus corrosion. if corrosion has already set in, and the laquer and/or paint has started flaking away it is already too late to just clean them. you will need to sand the effected areas back to the metal and prime, paint and laquer. the best way to stop this happening again is by cleaning them regularily and properly with car shampoo and waxing them. cant stress how important wax is, it stops the brake dust from sticking, repels water and makes them easier to clean next time.
