Is there any way to redeem Marlboro Miles?

I have been saving the Marlboro miles for years, and just found out that they are no longer accepted. Is that fair? Should they have put an experation date on them? I feel very ripped off because I was encouraged to save them for larger gifts by Phillip Morris, and now they are useless!
