I really want to do a degree in fashion design at university but I dont know how to make clothes.?

I took a GCSE in art and design and got an A and am currently doing a BTEC National certificate in art and design. This year there is a chance to learn abouth fashion and textiles but as i understand its very limmited. I really want to do fashion design at university but i'm so worried i wont be able to go to a good univeristy. Do they teach you pattern cutting sewing garment construction all from scratch ecasue i havn't a clue about how to do any of that. All i do at the moment is design design designa and I love it. I thought about doing a foundation course in art perhaps but i want to do fashion I dont want to waste a year learing other skills in diffrent ares of art and design. What should i do and does anyone know any good university's who will be able to teach me all the relevant skills from scratch snice i'm coming from a course more focsed on painting, drawing, priniting ect thanks
